gal’s guide: where to get your winter coat cleaned in boston

It’s *almost* time to put away those big, heavy winter jackets! I don’t want to jinx us but I found the best place to get your winter coat cleaned in Boston, before you tuck them away for spring. I’ve had my parka for the last two years and had yet to get it professionally cleaned, I was actually nervous to do it for a few reasons:  I didn’t want to bring it somewhere if it would take too long and I’d be without it during the long winter months, I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg (like the cost of the jacket!) and I didn’t want to bring it to a place I didn’t trust, in case something went wrong. Luckily for us Bostonians, I found just the place to do the job,  Dependable Cleaners.

Here are the before photos, in all of their bronzer-and-god-knows-what-else-stained glory (I admit, I let the bronzer around my collar get really, really, bad):

I dropped off my big ole winter jacket and in just four short days and $100 later, it was ready for pick up. The results were remarkable, my winter coat looked brand new, even after two years of wear. The pictures speak for themselves!

Remember when dropping off, to remove any fur, as that cannot be treated.

A huge thank you to the team at Dependable 110 Newbury location for cleaning my winter coat!

PS – You’ll get a kick out of this video from a few years ago that I shot with Dependable Cleaners. They bought a Brimfield Fair find back to life and then asked me to appear in a video to share the story. As you can see, the trust with Dependable has been there for a long time for me!
