things to do in outer cape: sunset viewing party/picnic at first encounter beach

One of my favorite things to do in the outer cape: have a sunset party/picnic at First Encounter Beach! First Encounter Beach is known for it’s dramatic sunsets over Cape Cod bay and groups of people who come around dinner time, set up their circle, put some music on and have some apps and wine while the sun starts to go down. It’s the most dreamy time of day, and at low tide, you can walk for miles or just sit on your towel and take it all in. First Encounter Beach is also known for being the place where the pilgrims and indians first met before Plymouth.

Some sunset viewing party/beach picnic essentials:

Acrylic stemless wine glasses – $17 (6 count)

12-piece picnic basket – $39

Pom Pom Towel – $49 (monogrammable!)

Cocoon Wrap – $22

Do NOT forget the wine and snacks! I’m packing Mary’s GF crackers and Kite Hill dairy-free almond cream cheese spread.

What are your favorite Cape Cod things to do that aren’t the obvious? I’d love to hear your hidden gems!
