I found the perfect shirt dress, thanks to Kim and Proper. This blue and white striped shirt dress has the most flattering cut and comes with a girly bow belt that you throw on or off. Being short, most shirt dresses don’t quite hit me where they should to be appropriate for both day and night and weekend or workweek, but the Casey dress works for just about any occasion.
Most shirt dresses are straight cotton too, which can wrinkle easily and not feel very secure. This perfect shirt dress has a bit of spandex in it so it feels more substantial on and hugs all of the right places.
I sized down in this one to an XS.
Kim and Proper is a women-owned, San Fransisco based clothing line focusing on classic design, attention to details and their commitment to the community–all of the designs are made right in San Fransisco where their HQ is. You know I’m a fan of shopping local, but being made local/in the USA is a whole new level!
The Audrey dress is similar, without summer stripes, in Oxford pink or blue.
I’m also really loving the Poppy dress in bright red for late summer days and evenings.
This summer we’ve been all about straw bags. This pineapple bag is favorite from Talbots a few seasons’ ago, but we linked to a few others on major sale right now here.
