color crush: red pear

To me, October signifies a fresh start and the official start of fall. That being said, it’s also the perfect time for a wardrobe refresh and fall update. Enter: Pantone’s Red Pear. One of my fave colors for the season is this deep, dark red hue. This fall-perfect color was named one of Pantone’s top 10 colors for fall/winter and it’s “official” name is Red Pear. I love a monochromatic wardrobe (read: trying to be a minimalist) but also love updating my wardrobe each season with key pieces and color ways. And in my opinion, this color feels like a neutral for fall.

It’s been a while since a “Color Crush” edition but what better time than fall to refresh? Here are my favorite key pieces to update your wardrobe with this season:

1. Everlane Striped T-Shirt – $18

2. Treasure & Bond Silk Scarf – $35

3. J.Crew Scoopneck Henley – $39.50

4. & Other Stories Wool Sweater – $49

5. Hinge Ruffle Blouse – $69

6. Willow & Clay Wrap Top – $79

7. J.Crew Turtleneck Sweater – $79.50

8. & Other Stories Button Down Dress – $89

9. Cupcakes and Cashmere Wrap Dress – $118

10. Sam Edelman Loafers – $119.95

11. Madewell Small Transport Crossbody – $128

What I’m especially crushing on: I’ve really been loving all-things-Everlane lately and this red striped tee is no exception. It’s a perfect staple paired under a neutral cardi or sweater blazer. J.Crew is also a great place to stock up on for cool weather staples. I think this side-slit turtleneck sweater would be adorable (and comfy) with a pair of faux leather leggings and flats. I’m always looking for dresses to wear with booties come fall and winter. Enter: the & Other Stories button down dress and floral cupcakes and cashmere number. Just add booties!  I recently purchased these Sam Edelman loafers except in leopard (total Gucci dupes) but I think the “red pear” ones could be so versatile for fall, especially with an otherwise monochromatic wardrobe.

How do you plan to update your wardrobe for fall and winter with Pantone’s Red Pear?

Cheers,

Tash
