gift guide 2018: gifts for the traveler

Everyone has that one person on their list that’s always traveling whether it be weekend getaways or long international hauls. What do you gift your bestie or family member who’d love a plane ticket instead? We’ve rounded up our favorite (and most practical) gifts for the traveler in your life. I’ve also included a few things I plan on buying myself for our honeymoon next year! Stay tuned for more details on that.

ONE. Ditch the extra baggage weight of hair products and add this mini Living Proof dry shampoo to your packing list. It makes the perfect stocking stuffer, too! Globetrotters have no time to worry about bad hair days.

TWO. These Patchology eye gels are a lifesaver for those dreaded red-eyes. Just apply mid-air and de-puff.

THREE. Face masks can also be a lifesaver mid and post-flight. No shame in the mask game during flights. I’m especially loving Karuna face masks lately.

FOUR. One thing a well-traveled person should NEVER leave the house without or can never have enough of: universal power adapters. The traveler in your life will thank you.

FIVE. There’s nothing worse than being cold on a flight or feeling “bulky” in your seat. This Banana Republic reversible wrap seriously looks so cozy and adorable. Just add a lightweight tee under this wrap for easy on and off.

SIX. Let’s be honest here. Traveling is the best. Living out of a suitcase is not. Stay clean and organized with this Flight 001 clean bag set. Keep your laundry and shoes separate from the rest of your perfectly clean travel gear.

SEVEN. One of my fave items when traveling has to be a portable charger. When traveling to a foreign city or country, having your phone die midday is not an option. This Anker charger is perfect for capturing those gorgeous insta-story-worthy views or getting you from point A to point B (it charges phones over 7 times!)

EIGHT. When I travel, I like to make sure that everything has a place. Store your makeup, toiletries or jewelry in these gorgeous Cuyana leather travel cases. Lost lipstick or spilled perfume, no more. Plus, they come in 12 colors – from neutral to bold. I definitely want to add this to my travel gear rotation.

NINE. No trip is complete without photos. Capture every moment with this super fun, retro Fujifilm camera.

TEN. If you’re like me, staying organized while traveling is a must. Store your iPad, cables and cards with this Mark and Graham leather envelope. It’s perfect for business and pleasure trips, alike.

ELEVEN. For weekend trips, pack this Everlane duffel. It’s roomy enough without being bulky. Opt to use it as a carry on and breeze through security in this ethical carry-all.

TWELVE. It may be cliché, but I’d love to take this personalized passport case with my new monogram on it when we jet off across the pond!

THIRTEEN. I’m also loving zip pouches for traveling lately (to keep me super duper organized). I store pretty much everything in them: I have one for snacks, one hand sanitizers and lotions and one for cables, headphones, etc.

FOURTEEN. Wearing jeans on a flight is never something I understood, unless traveling short haul, so these cozy joggers will definitely be making an appearance in my airport #ootd.

FIFTEEN. Since we’ll be heading somewhere on the cooler side for our honeymoon, this Everlane cashmere scarf will be perfect for cozying up in-flight and while exploring during the day.

SIXTEEN. I currently own this Longchamp tote bag and I love it. It’s big enough to carry all my stuff when traveling and sturdy, too. Plus, it fits easily under your seat!

Where would you love to jet off to next year?
