style: a chic, cozy faux fur coat for winter

A faux fur coat used to be a thing of the past but they’re┬áno┬álonger something your grandma used to wear for special occasions only. Faux fur coats are so hot right now.

What I love most about these cozy, furry coats is that they’re so versatile. A fur coat can be thrown over a simple slip dress for a night out on the town. Or, paired with denim, a slouchy sweater and booties for effortless street style. You can even get away with rocking a fur coat with leggings and sneakers for that “I didn’t feel like trying today, but I also did, but I really just wanted to be comfy”.

I love how soft and cozy my faux fur Rachel Zoe coat is. It’s also surprisingly warm! I snagged mine at TJ Maxx but here’s a super similar option for less than $100! Since the coat is sort of the “statement piece” here, I wanted to keep my look simple and minimal. I threw on the coat over my favorite turtleneck tee which I tucked into these destructed Levi’s jeans. This pair of denim has been on heavy rotation ever since I purchased them! They’re so flattering with it’s high waist and ankle cut. To add a feminine flare, I added a dainty pink velvet bow to my hair. Bows are also having a serious moment this year. These Marc Fisher pointed-toe booties finished off the simple, winter-y look.
