early summer outfit inspo (+ a night out with the Boston Ballet)

It’s no shocker that the weather’s been a total and complete drag these past few weeks. I recently ordered a few spring pieces that have been sitting in my closet, for lack of better words. Side note: I’m trying to be super mindful when it comes to clothing so I stayed as close as possible to my capsule wardrobe when purchasing spring items. More on that here.

So when I was headed out for the Boston Ballet’s Cinderella last weekend and saw the forecast read sunny + warm, I almost cried tears of joy. I jumped at the opportunity to pull out a few new pieces to hit the town for one of my favorite, favorite, favorite activities: seeing a BB performance!

I was able to grab this silk button-front from J.Crew on sale and I’m so happy I did! I love the fit and you can’t beat the quality of silk. I’ll absolutely be wearing this on repeat this summer since it’s so lightweight. I paired with these white J.Crew linen joggers since nights in the spring can still get a bit chilly. These honestly feel like sweatpants to me and I’m obsessed. Since the BB performance of Cinderella was at night (and it’s at the Opera House which is just a dream), I wanted to “dress up” my look a bit so I laced up my go-to Soludo’s wedges + added this ark clutch to accessorize.

Shop my look:

J.Crew silk blouse – $70 (from $110!)

J.Crew linen pants – $88

Soludo’s wedges – $95

Cult Gaia bag – $128

Not only was the weather beautiful but so was Boston Ballet’s rendition of a fairy tale classic: Cinderella. I used to be OBSESSED with the Disney version as a little girl and I was a ballet dancer growing up so this show couldn’t have been a better fit for me.
